The site includes a standards database which allows the user to view state standards in any subject or compare two state standards side by side. American Federation of Teachers
The AFT site offers position papers on standards, a state-by-state progress report on setting standards, and more. Search their home page for "standards" to reach more detailed information.

Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development
ASCD is an international, nonprofit, nonpartisan association of professional educators whose jobs span all grade levels and subject areas. ASCD held a conference in October 2001 focusing only on moving standards from theory into practice, and members have full access to materials and resources available through this website. There is also information on standards available to non-members through the site's Reading Room and Education News pages.

The National Education Goals Panel
NEGP is a bipartisan and intergovernmental body of federal and state officials created in July 1990 to assess and report state and national progress toward achieving the National Education Goals. Through this site users can access the eight National Education Goals, view US and state scorecards, compare states' progress, and view or order NEGP publications.
